Seeding and Turfing this Spring/Summer
The main problem with sowing seeds and laying turf in Spring and Summer is
moisture retention (or the lack of it) To combat this problem
we have introduced a remarkable moisture enhancing product
named ZEBA.
Zeba contains easy to apply., free flowing 100% natural, biodegradable
granules which have the ability to retain many times there own weight of
water.
When the seedling or the turf starts to produce new roots, this is when they
are most vulnerable to dry soil damage. By incorporating Zeba
into the top 5-10mm of topsoil and irrigating, a reservoir
of easily releasable water is available to the root system
of all young plants helping them to overcome any dry spells
and develop without a check in growth or speed of establishment.
Zeba
is not an alternative to watering plants, but it does take
a lot of the guesswork out of water application timings and
frequency and helps to improve seeding and turfing success
ratios.

DEALING WITH DROUGHT & HEAT
JST research department has been busy over the last few years sourcing and developing new products to cope with our increasingly HOT & DRY SUMMERS.
Predominately a mixture of two of the finest leaved Tall Fescues available DEBUSSY & MASTERPIECE. These grasses have been outstanding during last summers drought,
still green and lush whilst all the other grasses have wilted and turned to straw.
JS17 is tough and wear tolerant, whilst the extremely aggressive root system
has been known to penetrate down to 1.5m. This makes this
mixture ideal for very wet soils as well. It should be noted
that Tall fescue is coarser leaved than your average lawn
grass...read

and heat tolerant turf which is also outstanding in shady
gardens. These alpine grass species spreading by rhizomes
(prostrate runners) provide a medium to fine textured turf
of good all year round colour which id ideal for small gardens...read

3. ZEBA
ZEBA
is an exciting new technology produced from 100% corn starch
that is designed to hold 400x its weight in water but let
it go when the plant needs it. By applying to lawns, gardens
and the root zones of trees and shrubs Zeba absorbs water,
creates air pockets in the soil for oxygen concentration around
the root zone, allows longer watering intervals, retains more
rain water and creates more drought resistant plants...read
