This dense fabric is used to promote seed germination and protect grass from elements, whilst allowing air and water to circulate, increasing ground temperature. It also acts as an insulation blanket to safeguard sports surfaces against freezing.
Multiple layers of the fabric will prevent a frozen surface down to an air temperature of -6C With an ideal material density of 95%, this cover strikes the right balance between maintaining air temperature and allowing the grass to breath.
