The unique JT8 Supershade is the most shade tolerant turf available in landscaping today. It also has some other unexpected qualities. It appears to be tolerant of abuses in mowing frequency and height of cut, recovering rapidly from such situations. JT8 is average to good in it's wear tolerance, but has superb speeds of recovery from wear and much better than traditional turves for wear tolerance under shade.
A very useful turf for the production of golf tees where it's stoloniferous growth quickly infills divot holes.
Spreading by an aggressive system of stolons (above ground stems which root at their tips), it is typical of the Bluegrass species and tolerates more compacted soils than other species.
JT8 appears to be able to tolerate extremes of cold and heat.
This is not a hungry turf but likes to receive nutrients a little and often during the growing season
Has superb year round colour - impassive to climate change. Low maintenance - 50% less mowing than a ryegrass lawn
Mowing height: down to 12mm
All turf should be laid within 6 hours of delivery and well irrigated after laying. Avoid laying turf in hot weather (above 19C)How to Order
