RTF - Rhizomatous Tall Fescue is a new generation tall fescue that produces rhizomes, which is an underground stem that grows outwards from the main plant, producing more shoots as it grows.
RTF performs well in drought, doesn't mind waterlogged soils, is shade tolerant, salt tolerant and is incredibly hard wearing, making it suitable for a wide range of uses including coastal sites.
Roots up to 1.5m deep making this turf more drought tolerant, using less water than most amenity grasses. RTF comes with the prestige Waterwise Marque.
For sports situations it offers superior surface traction strength, stability and recovery and has proven performance for football, rugby, golf, polo pitches and racecourses. Ideal for many professional landscape projects and walkways, especially inner-city grassed areas
The root depth potential makes RTF ideal for soil stabilisation projects, producing a thick, dense sward.
Available in standard and big-roll formats as well as washed turf
Suggested Mowing Height: 25-40mm
Possible Mowing Height: Down to 25mm
Turf should be laid within 6 hours of delivery and irrigated well once laid. Avoid laying turf in hot weather (above 19C)How to Order
