All grades of turf are available as washed turf. The soil is carefully removed by a highly specialised washing plant to leave the grass sward as a clean uniform mat.
The soil-less turf enables rapid root development with increased root biomass and lateral growth
washed turf offers increased percolation and fast downward movement of water away from the surface, avoiding possible contamination of specialist rootzones.
Washed turf is used for sports pitches, cricket squares, golf greens and tees.
It is also very useful as a green roof surface and is a very economical alternative to fibre turf for laying on car parks and fire access routes.
